Wat Po

Today we had the buffet and made sandwiches. Afterward we went to Wat Po. We went on the boat the same as yesterday and we got of at the same stop. We then got a tuk tuk to Wat Po. It was bumpy but we got there safely. We saw the Grand Palace on the way.
At the first building there was a giant Buddha lying on its side inside.
We went round to the other side of the Buddha. There were a lot of pots. Our  mum paid some money and we each got a small pot with a lot of coins.
We were told to go round and put one coin in each pot. Instead we put just about 2 million in each pot which got boring after a while because we had to keep stealing coins from the pots and put them back in to help my mum get the perfect picture.
After putting coins in the pots we went to look at some chedis. They were very tall and looked humungous. After that we went into another building.
There was a Buddha with a lot of smaller Buddhas. While we were there Yasmin prayed to the Buddha.
We then we looked at a few Statues before leaving.
I high fived the Buddha.
I was also very helpful.
I helped these guys lift up a pillar! It was heavy.
Afterward we went to have a Swensons ice cream. I had popcorn and caramel. Mmmnm delicious it was. After the ice cream we went to the British club and spent the rest of the day there having burgers for dinner.

The Grand Palace

We woke up and went downstairs to have the breakfast buffet. We decided to  go to the Grand Palace today.
We took a boat across the river to the palace. When we arrived we were at the wrong entrance so we all walked 2 kilometres to the right gate! When we got there we went to see the Kings wat. There were lots of statues and paintings.
There were also a lot of chedis.
We had a look round and it was very interesting but sadly we couldn't go and see the Emerald Buddha because the prince was changing it.
There were also a lot of other things to look at and were found the place were the king lived. Matthew wanted to take a photo with the king but he couldn't.
We saw some soldiers standing guard and we took some pictures with them
None of them looked very happy.
We then left the Grand Palace to have some yummy pad thai. In the afternoon we caught the boat again to another place so we could walk to the British club . We spent the rest of the afternoon there and I played in the pool and on the trampoline. It was fun we had dinner there before going back to our hotel.

BANKOK

We arrived at Bankok station today.
It was very busy and there were a lot of trains and platforms! Chiangmai had only four platforms and Bankok has twelve platforms. We had a little snack of Oreos before going to the hotel. We then caught a taxi to our hotel. Signing in took a very long time so I played games on my I-pod. As soon as we got to our room we dropped our bags off and went to get a sandwich.
After that we went back to have a snooze. We took it easy in the afternoon. We read some famous five before watching American Ninja Warriors on TV and planning about what to have for dinner. In the end we had some street food which was the massaman curry. Then we bought some sticky rice before going to sleep in a comfy bed.

Our night on the train

The We woke up and had good tasting rice soup with fried egg in it and chocolaty coco pops for breakfast. When we had finished eating our food we watched the greedy geese go to the hen pen and steal their food!
The reason they kept geese was because snakes are scared of geese poo! We fed the animals ourselves after watching the geese.
Me, Yasmin and Matthew and this other boy helped Ae put signs up around the farm.
Then me and Matthew went on a motorbike ride with Ae and when we came back we had a quick look around the farm.
We saw the baby cow only a week old!
farm.
Then we went with Yasmin around the farm.
Then we had a delicious lunch of Khao soi!
Then we went to grow some pineapples and I saw a centipede while we were digging.
If you cut the top of a pineapple it will grow again! The pineapple tops were already cut off so all we had to do was dig the holes, put in the pineapple and cover it up.
Then we fed the animals for the last time because we would be leaving to go on a train today.
We had a snack before leaving the farm and it was leaves which you put a selection of filling in the leaves.
There was also some winter melon which Matthew especially liked.
It was delicious and I usually put honey, nuts and lime.
Then we said goodbye to Pepper and Nathaniel and gave them back because we were leaving today. Then we got our bags and got in the car to go to the train station.
We said goodbye to Ae and had a bite to eat before getting on the train. The guards jumped into the picture while we were trying to take it!Then we got on the train and made our beds. I got the top bunk.
There were ropes around the beds so we wouldn't fall of.
We then went to the back of the train to take some photo's.
We then went back so our mum could read a story.
Then we had some crisps and a few sweets before brushing our teeth.
Then we went to bed. I stayed warm even in the freezing air conditioning!

The Lantern

After coming back from the Hot Springs Ae got out two lanterns we lit the first one and we all made a wish. It went straight up into the sky.
Then we lit the second one and it went to the left because the wind was blowing it.
It disappeared behind the trees. We went inside for dinner.
We had some mushroom soup,
some vegetables,
some pak choi and
some fish and ketchup sauce. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed.

The Hot Springs

We  went on a rowing boat before going to the Hot Springs. It was fun in the boat and I wish I could go again! Then at  five o'clock we got in the car and went with Ae to the Hot Springs to swim in. It was raining but we still went. When we got there we were given two baskets of eggs. One were quails eggs and one was normal eggs. We got changed and went into the pool. I was cold so when I got in I felt so relaxed and warm. The water was murky. The only problem was that the whole Place stank of rotten eggs thanks to the sulphur!
Then we went to some water were it is so hot we could boil the eggs. There were geysers and they were so hot the trees around had no leafs! I thought we could swim there but it was 105 degrees so I couldn't. After eating the eggs we went back to the farm to light a lantern because it had stopped raining (while we were in the car) and also eat dinner.
